Libre Graphics magazine is a print magazine devoted to the use and promotion of Libre tools, software, methods and standards. It focuses on graphic design and media arts. It publishes four issues a year, based loosely around particular themes. Its goal is to serve as a catalyst for discussion, to build a home for the users of Libre Graphics software, standards and methods. It unites previously disparate groups and individuals which have, until now, stood alone as small examples, disjointed from a larger community. It aims to elevate the discourse around Libre Graphics as a professionally viable option, to raise previously unmentioned issues and to push forward the conception of just what Libre Graphics can produce. It integrates workflow elements that have previously been dominant in software development, such as version control, porting them to cultural works.
