The Chaos Computer Club (CCC) turned thirty this year. In this time, the CCC has become an international organization with friends all over the world. I want to introduce the audience to what a couple of generations of hackers and artists have done in all this time and will continue doing into the future. This is about hackerspaces we run in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, events like Chaos Communication Camp and Chaos Communication Congress (going into its 28th edition), public installations like blinkenlight, and communication and politics driven by CCC hackers and friends of the CCC. With these methods, the CCC has become a valued advisor to the German Federal Government and German Federal Constitutional Court without loosing their image as independent computer pirates.
